Pre-Operative Area

Approximately one hour before your operation is to begin, you will be escorted to the Pre-Op Area.  A family member or guest will be able to join you once you have been admitted.   There, one of our nurses will interview you and complete your medical history.  You will be given appropriate clothing to wear in the operating room.  An intravenous line will be started and you will be given any medications requested by your surgeon.

You will then be interviewed by the anesthesiologist.  You and your anesthesiologist will discuss your anesthetic care and he/she will be happy to answer any questions you have.
